Hi Friend, Are you ready for a bit of a change? Maybe you’ve hit the highest weight you’ve ever been. Maybe you feel your mood swings are borderline looney bin. Or perhaps you wake up feeling like an 84 year old man who was an MMA fighter all his life with yucky joint pain and fatigue. Or maybe you just want overall better health. I mean when you know better, you should do better. Right Maya Angelou. This could be what you’re looking for. 28 days of a meal plan, extra special check in emails by moi, weekly group coaching that covers topics like what do I do if I don’t like some of the food listed like fish? Or I’m going away for the weekend? Or my kids have tournaments all day and I’ll be stuck in a town where my only option is a Subway? Actually that’ll just be week 1…which is honestly the easy part. Week 2 will be about the self talk and lies that fill our head. Yep…it may get a little deep. But aren’t you here for the deep? For change? I’m not going to sugar coat it and say “ohh this is going to be easy.” For some of you who haven’t picked up a kitchen knife in a while, this might be very hard. Albeit you don’t need professional chef skills at all to make these meals. But you may be buying items you’ve sworn off. I use to be a kale hater until I learned it has to be massaged. Yes folks, kale to be edible (especially if it’s not going to be cooked) needs foreplay. What these 28 days will look like: Low glycemic index (perfect for those with diabetes or with pre diabetes) Gluten Free. It’s astonishing the amount of women as they age that become gluten sensitive (not intolerant which is a completely different ballgame) Higher protein. You most likely won’t be hitting the “eat half your bodyweight in protein” trend which honestly drives me a tad bonker pants, but you will be getting a balanced amount. For those that plan to increase their exercise or up their weight training, you may need a tad more which we can discuss. Enhanced gut microbiome. Our gut truly is in charge of our body (and mood and sleep!). One thing we fail to get right is providing it a variety. With a ton of high fiber fruits and veggies, you won’t have to think about it. Low sugar/processed foods. I’m sure you’re not surprised about this one. If anything though you might just realize how often you gravitate to boxed/packaged items. And honestly, you may have to use 1-2 or more which is ok to make this plan doable for you and your schedule. And that’s OK! We’re just looking for progress and not perfection. |
